We’ll plant 100 trees for every friend who gets a policy with Kin.Join Our Referral Program

Our insurance isn’t like anything that’s come before. Why should our referral program be any different?

We decided to put our money where our values are. We’re partnering with One Tree Planted to make it easy to help our environment. For everyone you refer who gets a Kin home insurance policy, we’ll plant 100 trees in your state.

We know that the changing climate is the biggest threat facing homeowners and communities across the globe. So we’re inviting you to join us in doing something about it.

How Our Program Works

We give you a referral link. You share it with your friends. We plant trees. It’s really that easy!

Every time a new friend signs up for a policy, we’ll plant 100 trees in your honor in your state. We’ve teamed up with the pros to make sure the trees are native species and are planted when they have the best chance of survival.

Trees Reshape Our Climate & Communities

Rising CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing global temperatures. Already, the world has warmed by 2 degrees Fahrenheit on average, and that number will only continue to rise if we don’t take immediate action to cut emissions.

Warming temperatures cause all sorts of chaos in our environment and communities. It’s the reason we’re seeing more frequent and severe hurricanes and wildfires. You can thank climate change for our epic flood seasons, droughts, and derechos, too.

Business as usual isn’t going to cut it. Without real change, temperatures are on track to increase by a staggering 6.12 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100.

Planting new trees can help pull carbon emissions out of our atmosphere and restore some balance. They can help us revive communities hit hardest by severe weather. With each new tree, you’re helping to:

  • Restore forests after natural disasters. New trees make forests more resilient and help reduce the impact of hurricanes, wildfires, and flooding.
  • Support local ecosystems. Young, healthy trees filter pollutants from wetlands and provide shelter for wildlife.
  • Protect endangered wildlife. Restoring natural habitats ensures the survival of endangered species.
  • Reduce the impact of wildfires. Young, healthy forests help suppress future wildfires.
  • Protect the water supply. Two-thirds of California’s water supply comes from its forests.
  • Reduce carbon emissions. One mature tree sequesters 48 pounds of carbon each year.

Tell your friends, and let’s work together to help our communities – and our forests – thrive!
